In v 8.1.07 and above the Staff Pay Amount can no longer be edited on this Attendance screen. You can still amend the Pay count but if the salary rate is wrong you need to go back to the source (Salary Rates in Fees, or Pay Category 2 in Ensembles/Classes or Lesson Type in Tuition) and fix there.
When records are imported into the Salaries file they do a relookup of the source so any changes on this screen would be overwritten. In v 8.0.98 and above the floowing changes have been made:
1.Removed the first 'Notes' heading to allow more room for notes at the right. 2.Moved the two boxes for marking attendance closer together. 3. Timetabling notes will now be displayed in the Notes column. eg. if notice has been given that a student will be absent, this can be entered on the Tuition record by the administrator and will appear on the roll for the teacher. In v 8.0.99 and above the following chagne has been made: 1 'Lesson Tally' has been added to the right-hand side. Shows the number of lessons recorded for each student so far for the term or semester. In v8.1.06 and above there has been changes to the formatting of the little '+' buttons that indicate a note has been entered for that week in Ensemble Roll-Marking layout. If the note says "CREDIT", the + button will be shaded red. This is to help conservatoriums (and some schools) that credit lessons back for ensembles or groups. You can add 'CREDIT' as an option to the Notes dropdown list and that can be used whenever a lesson/session is to be credited back to the student. At the end of the term, the administrator can look through the rolls and make sure the number in the Allowable Absences column matches the number of red squares on a student's record.
The 'Allowable Absences' column heading is now also an auto-sort button. This list will hopefully be helpful when working out the credits at the end of each term. (I will probably add a button to 'send these adjustments to accounts'. But not yet.) In v 8.1.06 and above the script has been modified that finds ensembles to import to Attendance rolls each week.
Search criteria now includes Pending ensembles, as well as Active ensembles, and omits any with a start date greater than the next 7 days. In v 8.1.05 there is anNew printalble roll for Calendar View preference.
This roll prints in portrait rather than landscape and fits a lot more on the page. It has the verification text at the bottom. It doesn't have absentee letter checkbox, or next lesson details. If you are using the Calendar View for roll-marking, THIS is now the default printable roll. In v 8.0.97 and above, if you would like the Next lesson details to be also included in the email to that student, click on the Next Lesson button (if you are using the calendar view roll and there is a next lesson in the calendar it will be displayed, otherwise manually enter it) BEFORE you click on the email icon.
in v 8.0.76 and above Attendance Roll 2 (with ensembles) now has the option of printing with no blank lines.
Access from What Do You Want To Do > Printouts. Scroll down to Tuition. In v8.0.74 and above another portal has been added to the Form View in Ensemble/Classes: Attendance Marking. It displays the roll-marking records for the selected ensemble. Note: If an ensemble has more than one staff member attached, the attendance marking portal will display one row for each teacher (because each teacher will have that ensemble on their roll). The portal also has a + sign next to it so ensembles can be added to the roll, simply by clicking this + sign (much easier than previous method!). Fields can also be edited from this portal (i.e. Week Commencing, Date, Attendance Code). Date Paid, and Staff Code can't be edited in this portal. Portal rows can be deleted but definitely SHOULDN'T be deleted if the record has a Date Paid. Attendances for the conductors can also be added to the roll from this portal. Click on the green plus next to the Attendance Roll portal. An attendance line will be added to the last roll created for all the conductors.
If you only need the additional attendance line for one of the conductors (eg you added an additional conductor and the first one was already on the roll), you can delete the entry for the other conductor by clicking on the red cross The week commencing date can also be amended by clicking on the date field In v8.0.80 and above there is a new attendance roll Go to What Do You Want To Do > Printouts Fill in the Header and Week names and select the week commencing dates You can edit the verification text. You can also edit the Key on the next screen This is similar to Attendance Roll 8 but has TWO student signature boxes so rolls can be printed fortnightly rather than weekly. Displays Week Commencing and Week Name at the top of each signature column. It shows less parent contact details (primary parent contact name and mobile number only). At the bottom of each page is a signature and date line, and verification text (which is editable) for the teacher to sign off on. The KEY is now displayed at the bottom left, and the script allows user to modify Key. There is also another Notes heading in between the two signature columns so a note can be entered for each week. Emailing Acquittal 2 In the Form View of Contacts go to the Students tab of the teacher A new button to Email Acquittal 2 (Attendance Roll 8A). Clicking this button will generate an email and attach a pdf of the last Acquittal 2 created to that one teacher only. You can also email to a found set of teachers
Go to the Scripts menu > Email Acquittal 2 to FOUND SET. In v 8.0.79 and above the 'Next Lesson' popover now reads from the calendar. Lesson details can also be entered in this popover and will go straight through to the calendar.
