In v8.1.07 and above there are two new buttons on the Details tab: - 'Print Cover Sheet (this one only)' or 'Print Cover Sheet (found set)'. Prints a sheet clearly displaying details of the piece of music (perhaps for storing with the music in the library).
School logo prints at top of page if logo has been entered in What Do You Want To Do > Set Up > Set up or edit school details. (Otherwise Music Monitor logo prints instead.) Click the button; a preview will display on the screen; click the printer icon in toolbar then 'Continue' to return to original layout. In v8.1.07 and above there are a couple of new and exciting developments. On the Instrumentation tab there is a new button to 'Quick-Add Multiple Instruments'. Takes you to a screen where a list of possible instrumentation/voicings will be displayed. (This list is the same list as the Ensemble Part list. It's using the same records so any changes/deletions/additions made to the records on this screen will impact the Ensemble Part dropdown list.). The Quantity field (yellow) is a temporary field. Data is not stored permanently in this field. Enter a number in the Quantity field next to the instrument/voicings that you wish to add to the piece of music. ONLY records with a number in the Quantity field will be added. Click 'Continue'. The tagged records will be imported into the Resources file and you will finish on the same screen you started.
In v 8.1.07 and above the default sort order of instruments (List View) has changed to to Category 2, then Ref No, then Serial Number (previously Serial No then Ref No).
Also changed sort order for other categories (other, lockers, costumes, etc) to sort by Category 2, then Ref No and sort order for music to Category 2, then Description. In v8.1.03 and above there is a new list view for 'Music/Books'. There are now two List Views for Resources - the new one for Music/Books shows fields more relevant to those resources. All resources can still be viewed on the original List View, but it should default to the Music/Books List View when entering the file and selecting to choose Music/Books.
In v8.1.03 and above the script and layout for printing a Music Catalogue has been modified.
The script now ends on the Music Catalogue screen in Browse mode (rather than pausing, and clicking 'Continue' to return to where you started.) All the column headings on this scree n are now buttons that will automatically sort the found set of records. A 'Save as Excel' button has also been added to this screen. In v 8.0.96 and above there are two new fields for 'Music/Books': Audio Link, Date In Folder. These have been added to the Additional Notes tab. Both are text fields. In Audio Link you can copy and paste a url. The
Date In Folder can be used to record details of the last time music was used in an ensemble group's folders. (So it may not necessarily have been performed but it was USED/rehearsed with that group.) In v 8.0.84 and above the access privilieges for 'Resources' account holders has been modified.
When a uswr with Resources accounts log in, they will now bypass the Home screen and go straight to the Resources Menu. Resources accounts no longer have access to the Home screen or File Map or Other layout. Resource account users can still get to the Students file and other files if necessary (with 'read-only' access) but not from the Home screen. In v8.0.82 and above there are several changes in the resource file 1. New script in the Scripts menu > Resource management > Enter return date for FOUND SET. You can find a group of records, eg. all Year 7 Program instruments and enter today's date in the Date Returned field for them all at once. (It shows a message first to make sure they really want to do that!) 2. List View - Hire Description is now visible on this layout 3. List View - the 'Delete record' x at the far right of the rows has been removed and replaced with 'OMIT' button. Don't want to make it too easy for teachers to delete resources. They can still delete by going to the Form View and clicking 'Delete this Resource' red button. 4. When clicking 'Instruments' from the menu, the list will now sort by Category 2 (instrument type), then serial number, then reference number. (Previously sorted by Category 2 only.)
5. Form View: Name of current hirer now appears underneath the big red letters stating the instrument type (or music category) and description. Current hirer could always be seen in the Borrowing Details tab, but it makes it clearer and easier having that information displayed here as well. In v8.0.76 and above the Resource list view now displays the field for 'Alt Ref No'.
Also the 'Ref No' field longer to allow for longer barcodes. |
