In v8.1.06 and above there has been changes to the formatting of the little '+' buttons that indicate a note has been entered for that week in Ensemble Roll-Marking layout. If the note says "CREDIT", the + button will be shaded red. This is to help conservatoriums (and some schools) that credit lessons back for ensembles or groups. You can add 'CREDIT' as an option to the Notes dropdown list and that can be used whenever a lesson/session is to be credited back to the student. At the end of the term, the administrator can look through the rolls and make sure the number in the Allowable Absences column matches the number of red squares on a student's record.
The 'Allowable Absences' column heading is now also an auto-sort button. This list will hopefully be helpful when working out the credits at the end of each term. (I will probably add a button to 'send these adjustments to accounts'. But not yet.) In v 8.1.06 and above the script has been modified that finds ensembles to import to Attendance rolls each week.
Search criteria now includes Pending ensembles, as well as Active ensembles, and omits any with a start date greater than the next 7 days. In v 8.1.05 there is anNew printalble roll for Calendar View preference.
This roll prints in portrait rather than landscape and fits a lot more on the page. It has the verification text at the bottom. It doesn't have absentee letter checkbox, or next lesson details. If you are using the Calendar View for roll-marking, THIS is now the default printable roll. In v 8.0.97 and above, if you would like the Next lesson details to be also included in the email to that student, click on the Next Lesson button (if you are using the calendar view roll and there is a next lesson in the calendar it will be displayed, otherwise manually enter it) BEFORE you click on the email icon.
In v 8.0.94 and above, there has been a slight amendment to how an attendance is viewed in Ensemble Roll-Marking > Printable rolls.
If a student was marked as having attended the rehearsal, and then if the roll was printed, it was appearing as an x rather than a tick. Confusing for some teachers. Changed to ticks now. In v 8.0.91 and abovetThe pencil to modify the lesson length for one week only is now stricter. For teachers the new lesson length MUST be selected from the dropdown list of values. Other values will no longer be accepted. (Prevents teachers from entering say 35:00 for a 30:00 min lesson.) Administrators can still modify this list to display only values that they consider acceptable.
In v 8.0.86 and above there is a new field: Medical notes. (Conservatoriums only.) It is now possible to differentiate between 'Special Needs' and 'Medical Notes'. 'Special Needs' are reported on for DOE funding, but medical notes not necessarily. Specific information on the medical alert can be entered in this field In v8.0.90 and above, if a student is tagged with a Medical/Other Alert, a question-mark will appear on the roll to the left of their name. If the teacher clicks this question mark, details of the medical alert will be displayed in a custom dialog box.
In v8.0.86 and above the email 'envelope' on the rolls, to email student or parents, will now include in the Message any Lesson Notes entered for that day . The lesson notes are the notes entered by clicking on the icon below It will be included in the text of the email
in v 8.0.76 and above Attendance Roll 2 (with ensembles) now has the option of printing with no blank lines.
Access from What Do You Want To Do > Printouts. Scroll down to Tuition. In v8.0.77 and above there is a new Copy Paste Email script in Ensembles. It is an alternative to the 'Send Email to Found Set' button (same as in the Students file). It is particularly useful for schools using gmail or other cloud email applications. (Or if their email settings are funny and limit the number of recipient addresses or do other strange things!) You can access the script from the Ensemble enrolments file. Find your group of students. Got to Scripts > Actions > Copy Paste email You can also access it on the ensemble roll-marking screen, top right-hand corner, underneath the 'Send Email' envelopes.
It will always display the email addresses for the FOUND SET of records. |
