In v8.1.03 and above, when editing a calendar entry from the Home screen > Room Usage (Quick View), the User Name is now visible (but not editable) and there is a new 'Delete This Entry' button
In v8.0.88 and above there is a new button - Find EMPTY Room on the Room Usage (Quick View) (accessed from the Home Menu).
When you click this button, it takes you to a screen where you can enter search parameters (date, and a time range). Click Continue and it will bring up the list of rooms that don't currently have a booking at that time.
In 8.0.63 and above the Room Usage CHART now displays Description if User field is empty.
In v8.0.62 and above a new field has been added to the notes tab in Rooms - 'Capacity'.
Can use to enter capacity of the room. Perhaps useful if hiring.
In v8.0.56 and above there is a New Room Usage button on Home screen.
It takes you to a screen where you can see all rooms and their usage for each day (if added to calendar).
To set up initially, select room names from the dropdown list at the top of each portal.
If more than 10 rooms, click the green + to create another row.
To view room usage, click Next or Prev to scroll from date to date.
To move a booking from one room to another, click the entry in the portal, then select another room.
Click on the house icon to get back to Home Screen
In 8.0.45 and above When clicking the arrow at the left of a record in Rooms List View it now takes you to the CORRECT record on Form View.
It also now shows only that one record in Form View. Click the Show All Rooms button to scroll down all the rooms.
In v 8.0.42 and above the Add ALL or ALL WHITE to Calendar scripts in Room Management are now disabled. Teacher's timetables should be dealt with one at a time through the Schedules tab in Contacts
In v 8.0.36 and above there is a new printable Room Usage report (more like the 'old room usage chart'): ROOM USAGE (REGULAR BOOKINGS) - CONDENSED.
It summarises the information so you only see the teacher's name and their START time and FINISH time in each room. Doesn't show student names for private tuition. DOES show ensembles.
It does show empty slots but these can be hidden.
Also have the option to Sort by Day or Sort by Room.
Script is in What Do You Want To Do in the Room Management category. It is also in the Room Manamgement module - Scripts > Room Management > Regular Tasks
In v 8.0.28 and above there is a new Room Usage report that is in a chart format. It displays the Ensemble Name if 'Ensemble/Class', otherwise it displays the User Name. It also displays any odd/even tags set up in room management.
Available from Scripts > Room Management> Regular tasks when in Rooms or from What Do You Want TO Do > Room Management.
In v 8.0.29 and above an Odd Even tag has been added to Room Management Form view. This is for schools that have 10 day timetables, they can now tag a booking timeslot as 'O' (Odd) or 'E' (Even). This tag is visible on this view and the Regular Bookings CHART view. This tag does not yet flow through to the calendar. (In other words, if a booking is entered on an 'O' day and then 'Added to the Calendar', it will still be added EVERY week unless the record is tagged as FFE or FFE in Tuition.) It's really just intended for music schools that need to set up a room usage TEMPLATE but don't necessarily need to use the calendar.
