In v 8.1.07 and above the Staff Pay Amount can no longer be edited on this Attendance screen.
You can still amend the Pay count but if the salary rate is wrong you need to go back to the source (Salary Rates in Fees, or Pay Category 2 in Ensembles/Classes or Lesson Type in Tuition) and fix there.
When records are imported into the Salaries file they do a relookup of the source so any changes on this screen would be overwritten.
In v8.1.01 and above Ensembles/Classes can now be imported into the Salaries file as well as tuition enrolments.
All active ensembles for sessional teachers are imported, along with no. of sessions and pay category.
It means the ensemble work for teachers can now be calculated in the averaged pay without having to separately enter ensemble work. "Import active ensembles/classes/groups" is listed as a new option in the menu. Click the number "4" button for an explanation.
In v8.0.94 and above , When you add a new teacher, a record for this teacher will also now automatically be added in the Salaries GC file (ie salaries based on roll marking).
If using the Averaged pays, it won't automatically create a new record in that file.
In v 8.0.84 and above 'Qty' has been added to Pay Summary by Cost Centre printout in Salaries GC
In v 8.0.76 and above the way student charges from the Salaries GC file are imported into Student Accounts has changed.
The date and teacher code are now be imported into Description 2 so that more information is visible if account charges are queried. The line items will now appear something like this:
Category (doesn't appear on invoice): eg. "Accompanying"
Description 1 (appears on invoice): eg. Piano accompaniment rehearsal
Description 2 (appears on invoice): eg. 12/4/2018 (LB) (where LB is the Staff Code)
Amount (appears on invoice): eg. $34.00
In v 8.0.75 and above a step has been added to the 'Email' button next to 'Generate Pay Slips' on the Salaries Menu (and also from the Scripts menu).
This script will now check the last date a pay slip was generated (which may be today) and find only those records that have a pay slip for that day. Prevents pay slips for archived teachers or teachers that had no pay amounts this pay run being accidentally emailed.
If the last pay date wasn't today, a warning messaage will be displayed just in case you clicked in error.
2. There is a New script to Reprint Pay Slips. Allows you to select the date the pay slips were printed and then reprint all pay slips produced on that date.
Script can be accessed from the Scripts menu in the Salaries GC file and from a button on the All Adjustments/Salary Line Items layout.
3. In Salaries GC, the Summary for Pay Office > by Cost Centre has had Hours and Hourly Rate added to this report and tidied it up so it looks nicer.
You are still ablevto add page break option, and modify export to excel.
In 8.0.53 and above Staff pay per session, Total Pay, Staff Load and Hourly Rate are now visible on the Ensembles/Classes Fees screen. (These fields were previously visible only on the Tuition Fees and Salary Rates screens.)
And on the Salary Rates screen: Changed the 'Relookup' button to 'Relookup (Tuition)' and added a 'Relookup (Ensembles)' button
In 8.0.50 and above a new payroll export script for Mentone Grammar has been added.
This script exports data as a csv file for payroll to upload directly into their system. This script has been designed specifically for Mentone Grammar but could be customised for other schools.
Script is accessed from the Scripts menu on the Salaries Menu screen.
In 8.0.45 and above the Pay Slip printout ('Summarised' and 'Detail' options) has been modified - they now also display Rate and Hrly Rate (if this data has been entered in the Pay Rates setup).
Also modified the exported excel spreadsheet to include hourly rate.
Need to set up Rates and hourly rates in Tuition Fees
In v 8.0.42 and above a new 'Summary for pay office' option has been added. It seems that some school payroll systems only give the users the option to enter an hourly rate and the number of hours worked. This can be calculated by dividing the Total Pay by that teacher's hourly rate - but this seems to be too hard for some pay office staff! I've added a 'Summary for Pay Office' that now does it for them.
Click View Summary & Send as Excel, then Show Hours.
A pay rate for each staff member can be entered on this screen. The hours will then calculate. The report can be printed or saved as excel. Note: It must be emphasised that the hours shown as a result of this calculation will not be the ACTUAL hours worked during that period as the total hours are averaged over the whole session.
