In v 8.1.03 the button to email weekly timetable to ALL teachers from the weekly view of Calendar, now allows the email text to be customised.   In v8.0.93 and above the access privileges for 'Instrumental and Ensemble' login has been modified.
All teachers assigned to a particular ensemble can VIEW the ensemble on their calendar and roll, but only the FIRST THREE listed teachers can EDIT or DELETE the calendar entry. In v8.0.78 and above there is now a new option in the File Preferences screen. Administrators can enter a date to force teachers to change their password, particularly useful/important after they've had an update of the files and all passwords have reverted back to be the same as the account name. (It can also be left blank.)  A 'Password Change' date field has also been created in the Contacts file on the Other tab.  When a teacher logs in, the system will check to see whether the 'Password Change' date in their file is an earlier date than the Password Change date in the File Preferences. If so, they will be forced to change their password.  In v8.0.76 and above access privileges for teachers has been modified.
They are now unable to edit records that were created more than 90 days prior to the current date. (To prevent accidental modification of past reports.) In v 8.0.75 and above a new 'Change Password' button has been added to Home screens for teachers. This allows teachers to change their passwords regularly.  In v 8.0.72 and above, when teachers go to mark their ensemble rolls (from the roll marking (ensembles) icon on their Home page), the search criteria now includes the active account (i.e. their staff code) so even if they click 'Continue' without selecting an ensemble, it will only bring up their OWN ensembles.  In v 8.0.68 and above there has been a change the security privileges for teachers.
They are unable to view Notes in the Tuition file that have been given a 'P' (Private) code. In v8.0.68 and above there is a change to the Home Menu for teachers with 'Roll-Marking and Resources' access. A 'Resources' button has been added so they can navigate to the Resources file and view music, instruments, etc. They have read-only access to this file but they can view everything - except Rooms.  In v 8.0.42 and above teachers with an Instrumental and Ensemble Account will only see their students displayed and in alphabetical order when they click on the Students button on the Home Screen  In v8.0.42 and above teachers with an instrumental and ensemble account can now enter data on the performances tab and edit performances they have created.  |
