Support and Success Packages

Support: No Charge

Support includes:
  • General questions, queries, clarifications and troubleshooting 
  • Investigating possible bugs or any issues with the functioning of the system
  • The regular online meetups we hold to help you with specific topics and take some general questions 
  • A Refresher Session following your annual update, to let you know what's changed in your new version of the system 

To reach out for support, contact your designated support person by email or phone, or where offered you may be able to book a meeting directly. 

Support does not include:
  • Training or consultation in the use of a whole new module (or the whole system) 
  • Assisting your IT department with the management of your in-house server 
  • Workshops and webinars other than those mentioned above 
  • Complex customisation 

For these services, please purchase a training or success package, described below, or contact us to discuss your needs. 

New User Training Package

A dedicated training package at a discounted price, aimed at equipping new users with all the tools they need to get the most out of the system. 

The package covers 15 hours of individual training delivered in online meetings. The structure is flexible to your needs but a typical delivery would include 3-6 sessions in a short period to skill you up for the basics, and the remainder delivered over the next year as you come to use the different modules and functions for the first time.

​Topics covered include:
  • Introduction to Music Monitor - navigation map, general settings, calendar setups, finding your way, basic searches, understanding how and where your data comes from, a bit about FileMaker, what updates are needed and when
  • Students - students and student activity, setting up fees, tuition enrolments, ensemble/class/group enrolments, best ways to enter data and add notes
  • Staff and Salaries - login accounts, maintaining staff information, setting up pay rates, ensemble staffing, the teacher’s view, what to do with staff changes
  • Roll-marking - setting up attendance codes, setting up rolls, marking rolls, checking and editing attendance records
  • Useful tips and tricks - more complex finds, useful operators, reports and lists, troubleshooting, ’Super Users’ button, how to ‘undo’ errors
  • Billing - work through the billing process, best practice for billing adjustments
  • Payroll - work through the payroll process, best practice for pay adjustments
  • Resources - rooms, music library, instruments
  • Timetabling - teachers’ schedules and timetables, calendar exclusions
  • Training your teachers - adding additional work, Heads of Department options, roll-marking, pre-approved payments, helpful ways to use MM
  • Other features - assessment reports, exams, purchase orders, budgets, other charges to accounts
  • Communicating from Music Monitor - emails, form letters, lessons into Outlook
  • Common Tasks menu - tidy-ups, maintain termly and yearly tasks, update preferences

Pre-purchase 5 hours or 10 hours, or pay as you go. Pre-purchased packages come at a lower rate.

FAQs

How is the time charged?
We bill in 10 minute increments and keep a record of your usage. If you wish to see your usage, we are happy to make it available to you.
How do I buy a Training or Success Package?
​Simple! Just send an email or purchase order detailing the package you would like to purchase and we will send you an invoice and set up your account.
What happens when my time runs out?
We’ll send you a statement when it’s getting close to running out and give you the option to buy another 5 or 10 hour package if you need more.
Will my unused time expire?
Absolutely not! The time purchased is your time to be used when you need it.
What about onsite work?
All onsite work requiring a team member to visit your organisation will be invoiced separately and will incur a callout fee. There would be an expectation of a minimum callout period of 2 hours. If flights or accommodation are required, these will be invoiced prior with any ancillary expenses billed afterwards.
